Mary Kinneavy, Licensed Acupuncturist

Mary Kinneavy has been practicing acupuncture in the Boston area since 1987. She was educated at The New England School of Acupuncture (NESA) and was among the first licensees and diplomates of acupuncture in Massachusetts. Acupuncturists in this state are licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Medicine, and diplomate status is granted by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

Mary has worked in private practices, public health and school-based clinics, and hospital-based practices. In addition to Boston Acupuncture Oasis, she was on staff at Winchester Hospital from 2014-2020. Mary practiced at Pathways to Wellness, a busy public health clinic where she also served as clinical supervisor, from 1992-2014.

She was a faculty member, lecturer, and clinical supervisor at NESA from 1990-2005. Mary has been a guest lecturer at Bastyr University in Seattle, and an assistant teacher for a course at The Japanese Acupuncture Center in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Mary practices a gentle style of acupuncture, primarily influenced by Japanese techniques.

Mary is a network member of Blue Cross Blue Shield and Mass General Brigham Health Plan (formerly AllWays Health Partners). If your BCBS or MGBHP policy covers acupuncture, she will bill them directly.
